I was in a video game and there’s were worlds inside of worlds that just kept going deeper. I started on the outside and it was like a costco but once i went in deeper it was almost unsettling. i kept going further inside this world and eventually i came to a business where i worked and everyone wore a color to show how high up they were at the company. i quickly moved up at the company until one day when our job was to search this giant mountain with no climbing gear to look for diamonds. we stopped for a meeting inside and my coworkers were an old tortoise, cam from modern family, and another girl. i was told even though the tortoise should be the next owner of the company he’s too stupid and he’ll never get it. i started feeling more and more unsettled and thought it might be time to leave so i started reversing my steps to get out of the deep part in the game. while i went though i realized they didn’t want me to leave so i kept having to hide, pretend to be friends with people, or whatever else so they couldn’t kidnap me and bring me back to the deep. finally at the end i made it to the original costco place and was terrified but glad i made it out and then i was able to close the app on my phone once i got out.
Your dream paints a vivid and complex picture, populated by surreal environments and characters, and carries a rich blend of themes that may offer insights into your subconscious thoughts and experiences. Here's a breakdown of potential interpretations:
Video Game Setting: Being in a video game where you explore worlds within worlds signifies a journey through layers of consciousness or challenges in your life. It hints at seeking deeper understanding or meaning in your real-world experiences. The recursive nature of the worlds could symbolize ongoing personal development and exploration.
Costco-Like Beginning: Starting in a Costco-like setting, a place known for its vastness and variety, may reflect feeling overwhelmed by choices or the pressures of life's abundance. It could also symbolize the baseline or mundane aspects of daily life which you begin with before diving into deeper, more complex personal or professional challenges.
Unsettling Deeper Worlds: As you moved deeper, the unsettling nature of the worlds may represent anxiety or fear associated with delving into unknown aspects of your life or psyche. This may reflect feelings of unease about confronting deeper issues or climbing corporate/occupational ladders.
Workplace Hierarchical Colors: The workplace where rank is identified by color reflects social structures or hierarchies in your waking life. This depiction can illustrate your perceptions of career advancement, recognition, and the possibly arbitrary or competitive nature of success.
Climbing the Mountain for Diamonds: Searching for diamonds without proper equipment may symbolize striving for success or valuable insights without feeling fully prepared. The daunting task of climbing a mountain represents the challenge or ambition inherent in your pursuits.
Unusual Coworkers and The Meeting: The presence of a tortoise, a fictional character (Cam), and another girl as coworkers suggests a blend of wisdom (tortoise), humor (Cam), and familiarity (the girl). It may reflect various aspects of your personality or social life coming together in a work context. The conversation about the tortoise not becoming the owner reflects internal or external doubts about worthiness or readiness for leadership roles.
Escape and Subterfuge: The struggle to escape and hide suggests conflict, perhaps with leaving a stressful situation or breaking away from expectations. It shows your resilience and ingenuity but also a possible fear of being held back by your circumstances or relationships.
Return to the Original Scene: Successfully returning to the "Costco" scene and closing the app may represent relief and closure. It could mean gaining control over a chaotic aspect of your life, or reconciling deeper fears with your sense of reality, moving towards peace.
Overall, your dream suggests a journey of self-discovery, ambition, and perhaps a struggle with feeling trapped by social or professional obligations. The final relief of escaping implies a desire for freedom and control over your destiny. It’s always valuable to reflect on how these themes might relate to current situations in your waking life.
